Critical Gerontology

Critical gerontology is an approach to growing exploration, policy, and practice which questions the hypotheticals bolstering the biomedical model of aging and the notion that aged people are a burden on society. It takes a sociological approach to growing issues and argues that numerous of the so- called problems associated with aging aren't the result of essential individual declines and disabilities but rather are due to social structures which limit the capability of aged people to express their strengths and continue to make benefactions to society as full citizens.
